The position`s primary responsibilities consist of design, planning, implementing, maintaining of Citrix & VMware Horizon systems in all AGCO`s locations. The chosen candidate will integrate into a team of Systems Administrators supporting daily operations and implementing projects to ensure that the system hardware, operating systems, software systems, virtual servers and related procedures deliver an effective end user experience that adheres to organizational values and mission requirements, enabling users of endpoint devices to access their virtual machines and apps. The job duties also include upgrades, troubleshooting and deployment of virtual machines & systems across the VDI platforms, auditing user permissions, developing strategies for backup/restore based on the global standards, offering technical support to users, and ensuring compliance with regulations and policies. The day-to-day technical support also includes incident and request processing based on tickets. Individual will also provide technical support for projects and infrastructure.
What You Will Do:
Provide global support of Wintel Servers for all AGCO’s regions.
Installation, maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting of VDI/VDA platforms, including VMware Horizon & Citrix systems. Act as subject matter expert and assist in other projects/tasks as required.
Ensure that Sarbanes-Oxley compliant policies are applied to all applications developed or supported.
Optimize system operation and resource utilization, and performs system capacity analysis and planning.
Win 10 master image lifecycle management, which includes creation of image, regular update of image, validating and rolling out of image
Maintain fully patched/updated/mitigated Operating System image for testing and production, and provides assistance to customers with operations of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) systems.
Collaborate with other Systems Administrators with troubleshooting and resolving issues that negatively affect the customer’s virtual computing environment.
Work directly with VMware VCenter Server/ESXi Hosts and VMWare Horizon View Administrator and maintains the virtual client pools, and virtual machines for maximum efficiency and monitors the virtual and physical network to ensure system availability.
Participate in escalated incident management and solving problems in a cross-team environment.
Execute test procedures to assess systems performance, identify and troubleshoot difficult or unusual problems, and analyse results for the implementation of system upgrades.
Keep documentation up-to date.
Shift schedule is daily Monday – Friday.
Occasional on-call support in the event of an emergency situation in the VDI infrastructure environment.
What You Will Bring:
Strong knowledge with Windows 10 version in terms of image creation, optimization, customization.
Knowledge VMware Horizon or other VDI infrastructure
Experience managing Windows Server 2012-2022.
Experience supporting and administering system patches and updates in a 24×7 production environment.
Experience with Hyper-Converged infrastructure which includes Dell, HP or Cisco UCS server management.
Familiar with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and PKI.
Good knowledge in technical incident resolution, excellent organization, multitasking and problem-solving skills.
Business fluency in English
