The Opportunity:
As part of the People Advisory Services core-tax mobility team you would work on German tax returns and related activities for the expatriates from various clients. You will receive robust training from EY in the German tax technical areas before being assigned to the job. High quality, good tax-technical knowledge, efficiency, and good communication skills are the key success factors for this role. The role requires constant interacting with the clients/expatriates in German, Hungarian and English language.

Your key responsibilities
• Analysis of fiscal data and tax questionnaires.
• Preparation of tax returns for tax residents and non-residents in Germany.
• Preparation of fiscal equalization calculations and hypothetical taxes in case the company requires it.
• Review of tax assessments / tax inquiries issued by the German tax authority.
• Participation in weekly calls with the Seniors and Managers in charge of the accounts.
• Keep the Senior in charge of the team informed of the progress of their work.
• Participation in technical trainings.
• Assisting team members with caseload as required

To qualify for the role you must have
• Advanced students or graduates in Accounting, Business/Public Administration or Economics.
• C1 level of German language certification or equivalent proficiency, both written and verbal, is required in order to successfully execute the day to day work.
• Fluency in English and Hungarian language – both written and verbal
• Any experience of working with Germany personal income tax laws and/or with DATEV Income Tax software will be an added advantage
• Prior work experience in a corporate environment is not a requirement but would be an advantage
• Proficiency in MS Office
