TDK is looking for an experienced Software Operations Engineer to join our team and help us ensure the successful selection, deployment, and operation of our software products. The Software Operations Engineer will be responsible overall governance and maintenance of software application from development to production.
The right candidate is rather a generalist than a specialist who is following best practices of the market and looking for challenges in a growing environment (including number of applications).
Main responsibilities
• Design, develop and maintain software operations processes, tools, and procedures
• Strong documentation skills, creation, and maintenance of support documentation
• Create and maintain system deployment plans, including rollback and disaster recovery plans
• Internal and external communication as well as fault clearance in case of malfunctions
• Understanding software architecture concepts
• Software and functional testing (business process modeling, prototype visualization, software design)
• Responsible for enterprise-wide application inventory
• Supporting the selection of new applications
• Works in an international environment
• Working in an agile self-organized product team from concept to operation
• Keen on new topics and bring them forward
Mandatory requirements
• Bachelors degree in computer science or IT related field
• 3+ years of experience in software operations
• Experience in software engineering
• Proficiency in at least one programming/script languages (such as C#, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, etc.)
• Comfortable with version control systems
• Ability to document software designs in established ways
• Ability to methodically diagnose technical issues and/or debug software
• Keep up to date with technical trends and technologies and find potential applications within the current setup
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Strong communication skills and the ability to lead conversations in a results-oriented manner
